Sarah Perkins has more than 20+ years dance experience and she herself started as a Salt Lake Star.  After moving and attending a few other studios she ended up as a Tooele Star. Sarah has so much passion for the Stars organization as it was what set the tone for her dancing career. Sarah competed since the age of 5 in team and solo competitions and the most memorable moment in her dancing career was winning Stars National Solo Queen and participating in the Dance Champ Program.  Sarah has trained in Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-hop, Contemporary, Tumbling, and Cheer.  She was a co-captain of the Tooele High School Cheer Team, winning many competitions locally and nationally with her teammates.  Following high school she tried out for the USA International Cheer Squad and traveled to Australia to participate in the Down Under Bowl.  Sarah has been teaching and choreographing all forms of dance from team to soloists her entire adult life.  Sarah is also a mom to two wonderful children and works as a hairstylist, her other form of expression.

Tina Harward

Twinkle Stars/Micro Minis/Rising Stars Instructor

Tina is excited for the opportunity to join the Stars Dance Studio this year!  She is devoted to creating a learning environment that is both memorable and uplifting.

Tina’s background has been extensive in many disciplines, but her favorites include Jazz and Lyrical!  Her training started in grade school and she went on to represent her studio and schools by participating on performing and cheer teams.  The most incredible memory for Tina was making Varsity Cheerleader her sophomore year and then being named Captain her senior year.  As Captain of the Cheer Squad at Hunter High School she began a legacy of competing.  Tina is happy to report that this year, Hunter High School took 1st place at nationals for their division!

Her teaching experience started at the very young age of 15.  She was a member of the National Jr. Honor Society and what started as a community service project led her to continue teaching for various studios.  In fact, she now has over 16 years of experience working with all ages from toddlers to adults.

She has always loved dancing and helping others to grow their talents.

To all the stars, Tina wishes you a wonderful and fun year!  Let your talents shine!!
